If anyone is still reading, hello! It's nice to see you again. It just struck me that it's been a whole week since I wrote anything, and there's a mighty good reason for that. I've had nothing to write about. Absolutely nothing. We've been one boring little family. Work, home, supper, baths, bed, and a whole lot of laundry thrown in. That's about all our days consisted of last week.
The weekend wasn't all that interesting, either, but I found a couple of things to share.
First, someone broke into our house and left THIS in the bathroom.
Can you believe it? I call it "It Which Shall Not Be Named." I'm afraid if I say its name, my weight will automatically flash on the screen. And then I would fall over from a stroke or heart attack.
David and Tater Tot were running errands Saturday afternoon and I asked if they'd stop at the grocery for milk and bread, as we were dangerously low on both. This is what they came back with.
No, your eyes aren't deceiving you. We now have six boxes of Pop Tarts, six boxes of Girl Scout cookies, two packages of Oreos, two chess pies, and four new packages of cheese. As if we needed MORE. This is why I do most of the grocery shopping. I can't believe that the same person who bought all the junk food is the one who also put It Which Shall Not Be Named in the bathroom.
Have a great week. I'll be avoiding It Which Shall Not Be Named AND the junk food. (Well, except for a Girl Scout cookie. Or six.)
That's as bad as my husband, who works out like crazy, gripes when he gets a little flabby, but cooks the most delicious food, which is usually accompanied with a gravy or starch dish AND keeps a steady supply of ice cream in the freezer. When I complain about getting too thick around the middle, his answer is that I should exercise. Say huh? Yeah, like I'd have to KILL myself at the gym just to break even after all the high-calorie food he makes! So basically, I have to do some hard work in order to eat guilt-free, but reap no obvious benefits (ie. being able to wear slacks without leaving the top button undone).
